Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Mr Dean MacPherson alongside MEC Ernest Rachoene and MEC Nakedi Grace Kekana launch the Infrastructure Pilot Programme.

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Dean MacPherson, was joined by Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Ernest Rachoene and Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nakedi Grace Kekana to launch the Working for Infrastructure Pilot Programme in Limpopo.

The collaborative provincial initiative is aligned to the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) framework. According to the latest EPWP report, Limpopo achieved 113% performance, with 12,370 jobs created above the set target. 

As part of the programme, 587 EPWP LandCare participants are currently deployed across the province. Their work includes maintaining vital livestock facilities, desilting earth dams, and securing communal grazing lands.

The pilot programme aims to create more job opportunities while improving rural infrastructure and supporting sustainable agriculture in the province.
