Female employees were empowered with vital information to navigate life effectively.
Elegantly dressed women from the LDARD Vhembe District gathered at Monati City Lifestyle Village at Tshikhudini to celebrate Women's Month, aiming to empower female officials with vital information to navigate life effectively. The event, organized by the Vhembe District HRD and Transformation Services and Madzivhandila College of Agriculture featured insightful discussions that resonated with the audience.
Speaking on behalf of the Legal Aid Board Sindisa Khosa highlighted the various types of marriage contracts recognized in South Africa, outlining their advantages and shortcomings. She stressed the importance of seeking legal advice prior to entering any marriage contract, whether it be customary, in community of property, or out of property. Additionally, she informed attendees about the second week of September, designated for South Africans to access free will drafting services.
Ms. Takalani Nthangeni from Social Development further urged women to stand against gender-based violence and to avoid viewing marriage as the goal in life. Her call to action reinforced the significance of independence and self-worth among women.
Pastor Annikie Sibiya from Head Office Employee Health & Wellness & Special Programs delivered a thought-provoking talk, encouraging women to cultivate resilience and prioritize self-love. She touched base on mental health in the workplace. Her empowering message inspired the audience to embrace their strength and value.
