The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Waterberg District has celebrated first of its kind achievement in service delivery which was demonstrated by extension officers in servicing farmers. Their efforts get noticed, recognised and rewarded through farmers receiving multiple awards across all categories from municipal, district, provincial and national level.
This memorable event was hosted at Forever Resort, Bela-Bela on 26 March 2025.
The event served as a platform to encourage and motivate them further as they will soon represent both the Waterberg District and Limpopo Province at the National Award ceremony mid-year.
In addition to celebrating achievements, the event served as a bittersweet farewell to Sharon Mlambo, an intern who served the Department with excellence and dedication. Sharon's contribution was highly valued as her departure leaves a lasting impression on her colleagues. She was wished well in her future endeavours.
The formal proceedings were followed by a relaxed atmosphere as colleagues took the opportunity to unwind and enjoy the amenities offered by Forever Resort. Colleagues enjoyed a fun and relaxing time by swimming and socialising thus forging a stronger team spirit through mutual respect. The Department looks forward to even greater accomplishments in future.
