The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) through Veterinary Services held a Veterinary Pop-Up Clinic Service at Sefateng Sports Ground, Atok Village in Sekhukhune.

This outreach programme brought sigh of relief to the Atok community and surrounding villages who accessed free and affordable animal health care services.

The community brought their animals and pets for primary health care services including diseases, dipping, Rabies vaccination, deworming and administration of basic treatments and advice.

State Veterinary, Dr Thabang Seoka indicated that the Pop-up Clinic is an initiative where both State Veterinarians and Animal Technicians work together to address animal health services. He ascertains that the Clinic offers wide range of free basic animal health services to the community which comprises of nasal discharge, goat fleas, cattle diarrhoea, Rabbies, administering vaccines and parasite control, treating illnesses and injuries and provides advise on general health from animals to pets owners.

In his concluding remarks, Dr Seoka said the promotion of animal and pets’ health is not only to strengthen bondage between human and animal, but part of government support services.
