Mopani District Management and those from department of education were appreciated for making the project work

Teachers and learners from Sebone Primary School at Ga-Mokgoloboto village under Greater Tzaneen Municipality breath sigh of relief after years of struggling to access clean and safe water, particularly in learning institution.

The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) in Mopani District in partnership with Department of Education in Mopani West circuit have officially donated a borehole and a 10 000-liter water tank.

This initiative is part of the departments’ intervention through existing support programmes meant to assist not only the deserving communities but ensuring that all children have safe and conducive learning environment.

With access to borehole and supportive 10 000 litreof water tank, students and staff now have access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and maintaining hygiene.This will also go a long way in supporting the school’s agricultural projects, ensuring that learners can engage in practical agricultural lessons that promote food security and sustainability.

Upon handing over of the project, teachers, staff members, learners and community were urged to take ownership of these facilities. They were further appealed to exercise the responsible use and maintenance to benefit future generations of learners.

Gratitude and appreciation were extended to all stakeholders, engineers, teachers, and officers who worked tirelessly to make this project a success. They were told that their support and dedication have turned this vision into reality.
