MEC Thabo Mokone has met with members of Agri-Limpopo at the Garden Court, Polokwane over challenges largely facing the agricultural sector.

Some well-known challenges include continuation of load shedding that mainly affect the economy, infrastructure as other contributing factors that impact negatively on their supply chain in terms of movement of their produce such as the state of the roads, rail and ports as mentioned lately by Deidre Carter, Chief Executive Officer of Agri-Limpopo,

The stakeholders seek to work closely with government to mitigate the impact while the department on the other side urged to create an enabling environment that will address the development and grow the economy.

This was another follow-up meeting since the re-establishment of the MEC’s advisory committee on agriculture.
