Farewell bid to MEC Thabo Mokone (middle with black jersey)

The Executive Management of the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) bade a farewell for a renowned MEC Thabo Mokone, who has been in the helm of the respective department since 2022.

He has attended his possibly last Executive Management Committee meeting at The Ranch, outside Polokwane on 22 May 2024.

MEC Mokone had extended his appreciation to the solid management team that has demonstrated their unique effort in building the department to provide services to the people of Limpopo Province.

He encouraged the team to continue working together for the betterment of the people of Limpopo, and that whoever comes after him as the new Political Head must be embraced and supported.

In his remarks, MEC Mokone said working together that sometimes brought in some misunderstanding has truly paved the way towards the improvement of the people of Limpopo.

“Whatever that you are doing, also builds me as a person and as a leader, including your presentations in management meetings. That gave me an amazing opportunity to even go to speak over the radio without being equipped with the speech. I didn’t know what agriculture means, but today I have learnt a lot of things from you.

Our relationship must be forever. Without you colleagues, we would not have done thus far. We have pushed each other, with the sole purpose of improving the lives of people of Limpopo, which was crucial.”
