Meet Molatela Edward Kgarose, a young producer of mouth-watering yoghurt and juice made up of sweet potatoes.

Kgarose who is the founder of Kgarose Kgaros, has been in this small scale business for sometimes. His produce comes with with different flavours – strawberry, banana and apricort. The juice flavours include mango, pineapple, tropical peach and orange.

He was among various farmers in food processing who participated in the exhibitions stalls manned by the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development during the department’s budget vote at Limpopo Provincial Legislature.

Kgarose’s hard work had previously won him young farmer of the year award courtesy by the LDARD.

His dream is to secure some sweet deals with big retailers in a bid to grow.

These are other food processors who work hands in gloves with the department to promote their produce.

Mpho Manaka from Setsong African Tea Crafter produces a variety of (tepane) wild black bush tea and (DIYA) infusion type red root indigenous tea ranging from soothing flu tea, holistic tea, detox tea and energy tea among others.

Rosina Letsoalo from NMBROAD produces processed marula fruit produce from marula artchaar, marula jam, marula juice and marula nuts.

Khotla Matlala from Makuka project, from Ga-Matlala Setumong produces hybrid maize seeds
